Whale Explodes, Covers Street, Cars, and Stores for Hours
Whales are big, obviously, but they are also nice and compact, right? Well, not always. In Tainan, Taiwan, they recently found out that whales can be very messy, if they decay for long enough. As you can see from the picture, the sperm whale that was on a truck exploded. The truck and the whale were on the way to an autopsy, but were unfortunately delayed, and the whale could not make it to the scheduled autopsy. The whale did not exactly need to be taken apart, though. The natural gasses which made the sperm whale explode were the results of decay built up inside the body and made it blow up under the pressure. Mmm, fancy some whale guts, anyone?

The whale was being taken to an autopsy when it exploded, but there a few likely reasons why it died. The first is obvious, that it could have expired naturally. There is also the equally plausible possibility of human influence. It may have been harmed by pollution. There is certainly enough of that in the oceans of the world. It could have been injured by a boat or ship, or by a fishing device of some type.
